McGlawn and McGlauhon Family Tree

I've received some other pictures of the McGlawn line that I would like to share with you. Some have come from Lea Hoak and others from Sharon Tate. I've also posted Nancy Jane (McGlawn) Tate's line along side the pictures of her and several of her children.

Descendancy of Nancy Jane MCGLAWN


First Generation

1. Nancy Jane MCGLAWN was born on Jul 03 1845 in Butts Co., GA (NOTE....death certficate says she was born in AL). She died on Feb 12 1910 in Arlington, Washington and was buried in Harwood Cemetery, Arlington, Washington.

Nancy married Lemuel Albert TATE, son of Solomon TATE and Mary CHANDLER, in 1860 in Talladega, AL. Lemuel was born in 1843 in Chandler Springs, AL or Talladega, AL. He died on Jul 17 1889 in AL and was buried in Chandler Spring, AL.

They had the following children:

2 M i. Samuel Perry TATE was born on Jun 22 1866. He died on Jan 06 1935.
Samuel married (1) Lottie CRISS in Gasport, IN.
Samuel also married (2) Nora HARDIN on Apr 30 1891.
Samuel also married (3) Sallie O'NEAL on Dec 16 1903.

3 M ii. William Bolon (Bolen) TATE was born on Aug 15 1868 in Chandler Springs, AL. He died on Apr 05 1945 in Childersburg, Talladega Co., AL.
William married (1) Docia Elizabeth RILEY on Dec 16 1892 in Clay Co., AL. Docia was born on Nov 04 1875.
William also married (2) Ellen Ready BUTT on Dec 05 1900 in AL.

4 M iii. Melvel Edward TATE was born on Nov 26 1870. He died in 1953 in Arlington, Washington and was buried in Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, Washington.
Melvel married Clara ROSE, daughter of Christian ROSE and Carolina OLSTEAD, on Mar 06 1898. Clara was born on Mar 16 1880 in Snohomish, Washington. She died on Mar 14 1961 in Arlington, Washington and was buried on Mar 16 1961 in Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, Washington.

5 M iv. Asa Stowe TATE was born on Mar 02 1873 in Chandler Springs, AL. He died on Sep 28 1958.
Asa married (1) Isa HORN. Isa was born in 1875. She died in 1897.
Asa also married (2) Beulah WHITESIDES.
Asa also married (3) Nancy Jane SHADDIX on Jun 05 1898. Nancy was born in 1876. She died in 1947.

6 F v. Mary Jesse TATE was born on Jun 27 1875. She died in Nov 1907.
Mary married William Everett HOBBS on Nov 13 1898.

7 F vi. Frances Matimery (Tiny) TATE was born on May 03 1877 in Chandler Springs, AL. She died on Oct 24 1964 in Tacoma, Washington.
Frances married James A. WHITE on Oct 10 1896 in AL. James was born on Apr 03 1868 in AL. He died on Oct 02 1940 in Seattle, WA.

8 M vii. Henry Albert TATE Sr. was born on Feb 27 1879 in Chandler Springs, AL. He died in 1961 in Demopolis, AL.
Henry married Sarah Cordelia WILLIAMS in 1904. Sarah was born in Blount Springs, AL.

9 M viii. James Walter Howard TATE was born on Aug 08 1881.
James married Josia SPRADLEY on May 24 1903.

10 M ix. Bascomb "Blake" Montgomery TATE was born on Sep 15 1883. He died in Jun 1961.

Bascomb married Mary O'NEIL.

11 M x. Thomas Mayse TATE was born on Feb 21 1886. He died on Nov 25 1895.

Please note that Jemima N. (Lovejoy) McGlawn's obit lists her birthplace as Jasper Co., GA.  Edward McGlawn personally told Julia Price that he was born in Putnam Co., GA.  Julia Price recorded this information in the paper that she wrote about the history of the McGlauhon Family.
